Registered Nurse (RN) – School-Based Therapeutic Program | $52/hr | Northern Westchester, NY
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a specialized therapeutic day and residential school program in Northern Westchester, NY. This unique opportunity allows nurses to make a meaningful impact supporting autistic children, adolescents, and young adults in a structured educational and residential setting.
The program serves approximately 68 residential students and 10 day students, ranging in age from 6 through the mid-20s.

Shift Options Available
We offer flexible scheduling with both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts:
8-Hour Shifts
- 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
12-Hour Shifts
- 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Available Workdays: Wednesday through Sunday
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and medical support to students in a therapeutic school environment
- Perform health assessments and respond to medical or behavioral emergencies
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, and residential staff
- Communicate effectively with families, faculty, and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school health protocols
Qualifications
Experience & Education Requirements
- Current New York State RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience working with children and/or adolescents
- Experience with autism spectrum disorder and/or psychiatric populations strongly preferred
