Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a specialized therapeutic day and residential school program in Northern Westchester, NY. This rewarding role supports autistic children, adolescents, and young adults in a structured educational and residential setting.

The program serves approximately 68 residential students and 10 day students, ranging in age from 6 through the mid-20s.

Position Details

Shift Options Available

Flexible scheduling options include both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts:

8-Hour Shifts

• 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

12-Hour Shifts

• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Available Workdays: Wednesday through Sunday

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support and basic medical care to students in a therapeutic school environment
• Assist with health assessments and respond appropriately to urgent medical needs
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by RN or physician orders
• Support students with daily healthcare needs in both classroom and residential settings
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, residential staff, and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow school health policies and procedures

Experience & Education Requirements

• Current New York State LPN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with children or adolescents
• Experience with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or psychiatric populations preferred
