Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a specialized therapeutic day and residential school program in Northern Westchester, NY. This rewarding role supports autistic children, adolescents, and young adults in a structured educational and residential setting.
The program serves approximately 68 residential students and 10 day students, ranging in age from 6 through the mid-20s.

Shift Options Available
Flexible scheduling options include both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts:
8-Hour Shifts
- 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
12-Hour Shifts
- 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Available Workdays: Wednesday through Sunday
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing support and basic medical care to students in a therapeutic school environment
- Assist with health assessments and respond appropriately to urgent medical needs
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by RN or physician orders
- Support students with daily healthcare needs in both classroom and residential settings
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, residential staff, and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow school health policies and procedures
Qualifications
Experience & Education Requirements
- Current New York State LPN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably with children or adolescents
- Experience with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, or psychiatric populations preferred
