Every year, autism organizations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events. Light It Up Blue is a unique global initiative that kicks-off Autism Awareness Month and helps raise awareness about autism. In honor of this historic day, many iconic landmarks, hotels, sporting venues, concert halls, museums, bridges retail stores, and hundreds of thousands of homes and communities light it up blue. Here is a list of ways you can Light it up blue on April 2nd and throughout the month.

Light Your House Up Blue

You can purchase special Autism Speaks blue light bulbs from your local Home Depot. Blue LED lanterns can be purchased at Coleman.com, and blue CFL bulbs from TCPI will be in most local Wal-Mart stores.

 

Light Up Buildings and Landmarks

You can purchase blue lighting filters from Rosco for existing exterior lighting fixtures. Perfect for restaurants, landmarks, and larger buildings.

 

Wear Blue to Work Day

An easy way to raise awareness is to just wear blue clothing and ask your co-workers to wear blue too.
