If you are looking to get your foot into the health care industry, this may be the right choice for you. In New York State home health aides must be trained by a licensed training facility. Once certified this choice can lead to a rewarding career in health care. Many HHAs gain experience in facilities and nursing homes then pursue certifications as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. So if this is the path you are looking to pursue; look into a certified training agency, but be sure to do your homework.
