Travel Dialysis RN - 8-Week Contract | Acute Care Hospital (Trenton/Hopewell, NJ)

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Dialysis Registered Nurse for an 8-week travel assignment at a respected, fast-paced acute care hospital in New Jersey. This is a great opportunity for skilled dialysis nurses who want premium short-term contracts, consistent hours, and the ability to work within a reputable healthcare system, without the long-term commitment.

Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: March 7, 2026
• Schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM (36 hrs/week)
• Unit: Hemodialysis (acute + chronic mix)
• Equipment: Braun dialysis machines
• Primary Location: Acute care hospital in Trenton, NJ
• Float Location: Sister facility in Hopewell, NJ (as needed)

Contract Highlights

• 36 hours/week guaranteed
• Every other Friday & Saturday weekend rotation
• On-Call Requirements:
  • Total of 2 weeks per contract
  • Monday 11 PM → Monday 7 AM
  • Weeknights: 11 PM – 7 AM
  • Weekends: 24-hour call
• Floating: May float between Trenton and Hopewell campuses
• High-demand dialysis program with strong clinical support

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and effective dialysis treatments for acute and chronic patients
• Monitor patient responses and intervene appropriately
• Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain compliance with infection control and facility protocols
• Document accurately within EMR systems
• Adapt to floating assignments between campuses when required

Requirements:

• Active NJ or Compact RN license (valid at submission)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of dialysis experience (acute + chronic required)
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to meet on-call and floating requirements
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
