School Nurse (RN) – 1:1 + Transportation

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is searching for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Bergen County, NJ! We currently have a need for a Registered Nurse to provide all day in school care for a special needs student this Summer!

Location: Westwood, NJ

Description: The Nurse is responsible for providing 1:1 care for a student throughout their school day as well as during bus transportation. The right candidate will be comfortable working with children with developmental disabilities.

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Summer Program: July 10th through August 16th

Hours: 8:30am – 12:45pm

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the appropriate level of clinical care based on the doctor's orders and school IEP
• Ensure the safety of the child
• Assist throughout their school day with any medical needs that may arise
• Documentation of daily activity
• Ability to assist in case of an emergency
• Work closely with other school nursing staff and Horizon case managers

• Have a passion for working with the pediatric population!
• Are interested in gaining an understanding of child growth and development!
• Have one year of professional experience as a Nurse.
• Possess an active CPR card.
• Possess an NJ Nursing License
• Must be willing to get your New Jersey Department of Education Fingerprints (We reimburse!)
