1:1 School Nurse (LPN)

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is searching for a Licensed Practical Nurse in Passaic County, NJ! We currently have a need for an LPN to work one to one with a special needs student in school.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Location: Pompton Lakes, NJ

About the Role: We’re looking for a caring and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a supportive middle school team. In this role, you’ll work one-on-one with a student who requires catheterization care and additional support throughout the school day. You’ll play an important part not only in meeting their medical needs but also in helping them stay engaged in the classroom and school community.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide catheterization care as part of the student’s health plan.
• Keep an eye on the student’s overall health and well-being during the school day.
• Offer gentle behavioral support and encouragement when needed.
• Assist with classroom activities to help the student stay involved and successful.
• Communicate and collaborate with teachers, school staff, and family.
• Document care and maintain simple, accurate notes.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active New Jersey LPN license (required).
• Prior experience with catheterization care (required).
• Experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
• A patient, compassionate, and team-oriented personality.
