Infection Control Nurse

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN to oversee the reporting of healthcare associated infections (HAI). The RN will be in charge of overseeing approximately 35 hospitals. The Registered Nurse will be performing hospital audits and providing education opportunities to enhance the understanding of HAI reporting requirements. The nurse will also be responsible for monitoring trends when it comes to HAI rates at hospitals and will serve as a resource to hospitals on best practices for quality improvement and patient safety.

Education and Experience:

• NYS Registered Nurse License
• A Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field, required; Master's degree, preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years of Infection control experience required
• Experience in Infection Control and Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
