JOB TITLE: Full Time Primary Care Physician – Internal Medicine

HOURS: Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide the full scope of primary care services, including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance. Hospital rounds are not required. The Primary Care Physician is a member of the management team. In that capacity, he/she will be expected to become familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the Department and work collaboratively to achieve them. He/she must be cognizant of, and comply with, all policies and procedures, as well as pertinent state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required:

• Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and direct counsel each patient on a plan for treatment.
• Prescribe medication in accordance with professional practice
• Arrange referrals for patients requiring services as necessary.
• Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, X-ray, EKG)
• Participate in a number of innovative programs in prevention.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Current New York State medical license registration
• Current DEA Registration
• Diplomat American Board of Internal Medicine. Current recertification required
