Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the summer season. The Camp RN will be responsible for overseeing the health and safety of campers and staff, providing medical care as needed, administering medications, and maintaining accurate health records. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nursing professional who enjoys working with children in an outdoor, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and medical care to campers and staff for minor injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications according to physician and parental instructions.
• Monitor campers and staff for signs of illness, dehydration, and heat-related conditions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and incident reports.
• Communicate with parents regarding camper health concerns as needed.
• Ensure compliance with camp health policies, state regulations, and American Camp Association (ACA) standards.
• Collaborate with camp directors and staff to promote a safe and healthy camp environment.
• Maintain and inventory first aid supplies and ensure emergency kits are stocked.
• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of New York.
• CPR and First Aid certification (Pediatric preferred).
• Experience in pediatric, school, emergency, or camp nursing preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in an outdoor setting and handling minor to moderate medical situations.
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds and navigate camp terrain.
