LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job in Nassau County, NY

**WORK 1:1 WITH SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS**
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is looking for Licensed Practical Nurses on Long Island. We are currently in need of LPNs to provide 1:1 care to special needs students in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and Eastern Long Island schools.
Some job locations include; Glen Cove, Long Beach, Town of Hempstead, North Hempstead, and Town of Oyster Bay. Within these towns and cities, we have many different school districts that we work with.
5 days a week during the school year
One to One (1:1) in Classroom
- Full time (school schedule) available as well as per diem and part-time
- School Hours (between 6.5 – 8 hours per day depending on the case)
Responsibilities
- Ensure the appropriate level of clinical care based on the doctor’s orders and school IEP
- Ensure the safety of the child
- Assist throughout their school day with any medical needs that may arise
- Documentation of daily activity
- Ability to assist in case of an emergency
- Work closely with other school nursing staff and Horizon case managers
Qualifications
- Nursing Degree
- LPN License in New York
- Current BLS
