Horizon Healthcare Staffing is searching for qualified LPNs in New Jersey that want to work in nursing homes. Our nursing homes are located throughout Northern, Central, and Southern New Jersey. New Jersey counties include; Monmouth County, Essex, Somerset, Middlesex, Union County, Mercer County and Ocean County. Licensed Practical Nurses are regulated healthcare professionals working with other members of the healthcare team to care for individual patients and their families. They normally work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and doctors.
LPNs who work in nursing homes are expected to admit new residents, assign and delegate duties to non-licensed nursing staff, assist physicians during rounds, perform ongoing assessments of resident’s physical and mental health, and explain the procedures and treatment protocols to residents.
LPNs or Licensed Practical Nurses are part of the most highly respected industries. If you are an LPN, you most likely like a fast paced job with a variety of responsibilities. Sometimes, it is the LPNs job to be a positive presence in the lives sick and injured patients.
If you want to work in a New Jersey nursing home, you will have to be licensed in the state of New Jersey, valid BLS certification, at least 1 years experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and must have graduated from an accredited LPN school.
