School Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Maywood, NJ

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Maywood, NJ. We have an immediate opening for an RN to work half in the health office/half field trips. One outing per day about 1 hour long. The Registered Nurse will then work the rest of the day in the health office.

As a School Registered Nurse (RN) in Maywood, you will play a vital role in providing health services to students.

• Schedule: Wednesdays
• Hours: 7:45AM - 3:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff who visit the health office for various health concerns, including minor injuries, illnesses, and medication administration.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health issues and provide appropriate interventions or referrals as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, including immunization records, health history, and medication administration logs.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to develop and implement health policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.

RN School Nurse Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse in New Jersey: You must hold a valid and active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR Certification: Possession of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
• One (1) year of professional nursing experience.
