Processor Job in Nassau County

 

SUMMARY:

Processors are responsible for the flow of information throughout the system. They process documentation as it comes into the office, enter data into the system and submit all claims. Processors are responsible for keeping to claims submission policies along with 24 hour turn around. The processing position is one of the most important in our client's organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter data, such as insurance eligibility information, claim information, and demographic characteristics, into the billing system
  • Thoroughly review claims and ensure that there is no missing or incomplete information.
  • Retrieve missing claim information from various sources
  • Validate the information on all medical claims received.
  • Verify updated insurance and patient information.
  • Troubleshoot any problems encountered in the verification process thus lessening the likelihood of payment and collection problems.
  • Forward necessary paperwork to proper locations and recipients.
  • Submit clean claims in a timely manner.
  • Insure 24-hour claim submission is met.
  • Ensure compliance with the rules of coding, both local and national.
  • Enter payments accurately in the system.
  • Follow department work schedule.
  • Work accurately and efficiently.
