Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking experienced, dedicated, and motivated Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) to join our team for local, long-term assignments at one of our reputable hospital clients located in Trenton, New Jersey.

Emergency Department nurses are the front line in urgent and critical situations, providing immediate, life-saving care. You’ll be responsible for assessing patients quickly, prioritizing care, and stabilizing conditions for either discharge or further treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and individualized nursing care to ER patients.
• Collect patient history and current symptoms.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Perform triage assessments, considering both physical and psychological needs.
• Administer basic life support and stabilize patients until further medical treatment is available.
• Record and monitor vital signs.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments.
• Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments.

Required Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey State RN License
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or acute care hospital experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association
• Additional certifications depending on specialty
