Psychologist – Private Practice – NYC

Private Practice Psychologist Job Description:

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is searching for a psychologist to join a private practice in New York City. The client has indicated that there will be supervision toward licensure available. The psychologist will be responsible for providing therapy and testing to higher functioning adult outpatients. You will be treating anxiety, depression, panic and PTSD. Many of the patients in the private practice have been injured and are coping with pain and health issues.

The psychologist should have successful experience treating adults in an outpatient setting. Knowledge of cognitive therapy, support therapy, and relaxation techniques are helpful. The position provides a lot of direct patient time, minimal paperwork/admin (the administrative support staff addresses all billing needs, provides direct payroll deposits bi-weekly, and handles any office/practice related concerns), peer supervision, and very good compensation. Collegial staff and nice offices make for a great work environment.

• The private practice will provide the psychologist with a full patient roster that can be customized to fit your working schedule and personal preferences.
• The private practice has a warm and welcoming environment that promotes ongoing peer interaction, consultation, and supervision.
• Flexible schedule available. You can work 3, 4, or 5 days per week. The office operates during the daytime hours only, no nights or weekends are required.
• Flex hours from 8am – 7pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Providing individual psychotherapy and conducting psychological testing.
• The private practice will provide the licensed psychologist a full patient roster that can be customized to fit your working schedule and personal preferences.
• Providing therapy and testing to higher functioning adult outpatients.
• Treatment of anxiety, depression, panic and PTSD.

Job Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience treating adults in an outpatient setting
• New York State Licensed Psychologist
• Knowledge of cognitive therapy, support therapy, and relaxation techniques
