Behavioral Health Associate

Horizon Healthcare Staffing has a great opportunity for a Behavioral Health Associate. This position is located in the Bronx, NY and is full time with rotating weekends. Computer skills are a must and bilingual Spanish is a plus. This position will pay anywhere from $14-$20 per hour based on experience level.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist medical staff with the process of treating and diagnosing patients who have various behavioral issues, such as substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, physical and emotional abuse.
• Create pre-authorizations for patients to go to inpatient as well as outpatient facilities.
• Assist members with referrals to psychologists & psychiatrists.
• Routinely use medical systems and coding to take action with requested procedures for patients.
