How often do therapists get paid and what is the payroll process?
After submitting an approved time sheet, therapists are paid on a biweekly basis.
What are your hours of operations?
Normal business hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am-7:00pm. Our staffing coordinators and managers are on call 24/7.
What type of settings do you have to offer?
Long term care facilities, hospitals, schools, private practices, insurance companies and in the home.
Where do you have work opportunities?
We have positions available in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan, Long Island (Nassau County, Suffolk County), and Westchester County.
What credentials do I need to bring to the interview?
- Current therapist registration and license
- Recent physical exam, including PPD and titers
- 10 panel drug screen required for hospitals only
- Hepatitis immunization dates, proof of immunization or declination
- Resume
- 2 forms of ID
- 2 letters of reference
- HIPAA form
- Payroll information sheet
- Malpractice Insurance Certificate
Nursing FAQ
What do I need to bring to my interview?
You need to bring the following original documents:
- Current registration
- Current CPR / BLS card
- 2 forms of government issued IDs – Name and date of birth must match
- Recent physical documenting PPD and Titer status
- Resume
- Malpractice Insurance Certification
- 2 References
What do you mean by recent physical?
A physical completed within the calendar year – no older than 1 year
Will I need to take any tests?
You will need to take and pass, with a score of 85%, a general clinical skills test.
I’d like to do school nursing, but don’t have experience as a school nurse.
During your appointment, one of Horizon Healthcare Staffing’s RNs will conduct a comprehensive review o school nursing which includes a review of diabetes, allergy, asthma, seizure and head injury management.
How often do nurses get paid and what is the payroll process?
Nurses are paid on a weekly basis.
Where do I get finger printed?
If you plan to work on Long Island, you can go to your local police district. If you plan on working in any of the 5 boroughs, you must go to Long Island City for your prints, then to downtown Brooklyn for your photo ID.
Will this process be explained?
Yes. During your interview a Horizon Healthcare Staffing member will explain the fingerprint process and provide the necessary paperwork.
I’m not sure if I want full-time or per diem work.
Both opportunities are available. Your options will be explained during your interview.
How long will this interview process take?
Plan to be in our office for approximately 3 hours.
The interview process consists of the following:
- Application completion ( you can request that the application be emailed to you)
- Nurse orientation class
- Personal interview
