School LPN

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Immediate Start on Long Island, NY

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team in providing quality nursing care to schools in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and Eastern Long Island. We have immediate openings for LPNs to provide 1:1 care to special needs students in a classroom setting and school trips.

Openings for Licensed Practical Nurses include:

• Full-time (school schedule), per diem, and part-time opportunities
• 1:1 nursing care for special needs students in a classroom setting
• School trips
• School hours (between 6.5 - 8 hours per day depending on the case)

Job Summary:

As an LPN, you will work 1:1 with special needs students during school hours, ensuring the appropriate level of clinical care based on the doctor's orders and school IEP, and assist throughout their school day with any medical needs that may arise. You will also document daily activities, ensure the safety of the child, and be able to assist in case of an emergency. You will work closely with other school nursing staff and Horizon case managers.

Requirements:

• LPN License in New York
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
