School Bus Transportation Nurse

Location: Suffolk County, NY

Job Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work as a School Bus Transportation Nurse for two students in Suffolk County, NY. The School Bus Transportation Nurse will assist the students during their commute to and from school and provide assistance to the health office during the day.

This is a part-time position, with approximately 30 hours per week. The School Bus Transportation Nurse will work closely with the bus driver and school staff to ensure a safe and healthy commute for the students. Responsibilities:

• Meet Student A at the bus yard at 6:30am and ride bus to school.
• Assist Student A during the commute to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• The bus will return to the bus yard after dropping off Student A to pick up a bus for Student B.
• Meet Student B at the bus yard at 7:00am-7:10am and ride bus to their school.
• Assist Student B during the commute to and from school, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• The bus will return you to the bus yard after dropping off Student B to pick up your car and then drive to Student A’s school to assist the school nurse from 7:45am to 2:00pm.
• The bus will pick up Student A at 2:00pm and take them home, and then bring you back to Student B’s school.
• Get a bus for Student B at 2:35pm and take them home, and then return to Student A’s School.
• The bus will drop you off at Student A’s school at 3:00pm.

Requirements:

• NY Registered Nurse license.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Reliable transportation to and from the bus yard.
