RN – Youth Residential Group Home

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Part time Registered Nurse for a Youth Residential Group Home located in Camden NJ. The population is Adolescents Male with Autism.

Schedule/Hours:

25 hours a week, this can be done in 8-hour shifts. Flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Arranging and facilitating medical/dental appointments
• Completes lab work within 7 days of admission, coordinates all lab work with the psychiatrist/APN. Reviews and notes any abnormalities on lab work.
• Implement and follows treatment plan, creates nursing care plan, completes nursing assessments upon admission.
• Coordinates care of ill/injured clients
• Evaluates health status for school attendance.
• Provides immediate medical treatment and follow-up for emergency needs.
• Documents enuretic and encopretic episodes
• Documents Nursing/health groups and client interactions.
• Documents height and weight on monthly basis
• Reviews Medication
• Administers medication.
• Responsible for ensuring all medical and medication supplies are available.
• Reviews client medication history
• Attends treatment meetings and admissions.
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience working with youth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New Jersey RN License
• BLS Certification required
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Effective leadership and delegation skills
• Computer and keyboarding skills
