Horizon Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Nurses to join the team at a renowned Psychiatric Hospital in West Trenton, NJ. With 450 inpatient beds, this facility believes in providing holistic patient care, encompassing the initial assessment, treatment of human responses, and addressing actual or potential health problems.

Schedule/Shifts:

• Day Shift: 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, or until relieved by the next shift nurse.
• Evening Shift: 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm, or until relieved by the next shift nurse.
• Night Shift: 10:45 pm to 7:15 am, or until relieved by the next shift nurse.

Additional Details:

• All shifts needed, with a 30-minute break for every 8-hour shift.
• Day/Evening/Night pay differentials.
• Overtime opportunities available and will be approved.
• 4 days of paid classroom orientation provided from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
• Classroom orientation dates will be provided upon clearance.
• Block scheduling options available upon completing classroom orientation.
• Training and shadow shifts provided for the first two shifts.

As a Nurse at the Psychiatric Hospital, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Medication management, including medication administration and monitoring.
• Flexibility to float to different buildings and units within the hospital.
• Collaborating with another Nurse to manage the milieu and provide a therapeutic environment.
• Managing crisis situations and attending possible treatment team meetings.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

• Ability to commit to at least part-time hours.
• Proficiency in working with paper documentation, as there is no EMR system in place.
• Active BLS/CPR certification and other relevant certifications.
• Active NJ Nursing License.
